The charming white village of Casares is about 5 minutes away by car.
It is still a very traditional Spanish pueblo blanco with its narrow winding streets and sugar cube houses all piled one on top of the other. The people are very friendly and welcoming to the many visitors that now come to the area. There is a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants in the village itself and further good quality restaurants such as el Forjador, Arroyo Hondo and Los Molinos in the nearby countryside.
The Costa del Sol is about 20 minutes away so if you tire of all the peace and quite you can easily avail yourself of all that is on offer there. Estepona is the nearest large town and Gibraltar is also only about 30 minutes away.
In addition of course there are many first class golf courses in the area.
