Villa Booking Information

Prices are per property per week in euros.(Some villas have a daily price rate) For some villas in our directory, you will find a direct link to the owner/agents website who will then proceed with all aspects of the booking. For all other villa listings, Bluedoor Villas will carry out the booking transaction. Please read details page of each villa carefully for booking information, especially when booking direct with the owner.

If booking direct with the owner please be advised that the rentals will be subject to the owners terms and conditions, and payments will be made directly to the owner/manager. Bluedoor Villas can not be held responsible for any aspects of the bookings made directly with the owner.

Changeover days are generally on Saturdays during peak season, however we will accommodate your wishes wherever possible during other seasons. Please read details page of each villa carefully for details of change-over information.

PLEASE SEE INDIVIDUAL PROPERTY DETAILS PAGE FOR EITHER BOOK WITH BLUEDOOR VILLAS OR `BOOK DIRECT' WITH THE OWNER.

On the day of your arrival the keys to the property will not be available until 4pm unless previously agreed in writing. This is due to the preparation & cleaning of your villa prior to your arrival.
On the day of your departure, the property must be vacated by 10am, unless prior agreement has been arranged.
Please inform us of your flight arrival & departure times at least one week prior to the start of your holiday.
Direction and key collection details will be advised prior to your arrival at the property.
Fresh laundry ( not beach towels ) will be provided on a weekly basis. Guests will be provided with one set of linen & towels per person per week. If guests use more than this, they will be charged for extra laundry.If dealing direct with the owner please request details from them.
All properties will be prepared & cleaned prior to your arrival. Properties will not be cleaned during your stay.Cleaning staff may be avaiable, please see each details page for information especially when booking direct with the owner.
At some villas extra cleaning service can be provided on request ( to be charged locally ). Please see details page for each property
Information pack may provided at all properties.
Gas, electricity & water charges are included in your rental fee except for monthly long term lets.
( Heating will be charged for if required ) unless otherwise stated
The majority of our property owners do not allow pets. However if requested we will endeavour to accommodate your wishes.
Babysitting service maybe provided on request.Please contact local manager for details
The maximum number of guests permitted per villa is stated in the villa description. e In some cases extra guests may be accommodated at an additional charge of € 100.00 / week (please contact us/owner for information) Extra guests are not permitted without prior permission.

Bread, milk, juice, biscuits, butter, jam, water, wine, beer, cheese, ham, fruit, eggs, tea, coffee, olives, crisps, chocolates.
 
Superior Welcome Pack : (Only For BD Managed Villas/ Costa Tropical only)
Bread, croissants, milk, juice, cereal, biscuits, crisps, butter, jam, fizzy drink, large water, wine, cava, beer, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, fresh produce suitable for light meal (subject to availability at time of purchase), yoghurt, olive oil, eggs, tea, coffee, olives, chocolates.
 

Owner Managed properties may provide a basic complimentary welcome pack.Please check at time of booking or contact local manager before your arrival. It may be possible for guests to request an extra food package from the local managers. Contact numbers will be provided with each booking confirmation.

Local Shops:

We can not guarantee that local shops/supermarkets will be open when you arrive and in most areas shops are closed on Sundays. Clients are advised to check with the local managers before arriving. We recommend that for rural villas, clients purchase their shopping before driving to the villa.


Blue Door ( BD ) Representation

You will find two alternatives on the details page of your villa description, indicating how BD is represented in the Costa Tropical area. If clients experience problems during their stay, it is important that representation is understood.

BD representative : Costa Tropical only:
This means that the villa will have an area representative with local contact numbers.Costa Tropical only

Owner managed :
No BD representation. The owner/manager lives near by or there is a local manager to assist clients. Villa information packs will give contact numbers. bluedoorvillas will give all contact details with booking confirmation.

'Option 2' Booking:

At some villas in our portfolio the owner/manager will deal with all aspects of the booking, from payment to key collection details, together with client liaison. Each villa details page has a booking form link.For 'Option2', guests will complete a basic reservation form which bluedoorvillas will pass directly to the property owner/manager.


Your Holiday Property
All descriptions of the properties are given in good faith, but these are of course, only our opinions. By giving us as much information as possible we will do our utmost to help you choose the right villa in the environment that you would prefer.
The majority of our properties are furnished & equipped to the owner's personal taste. Owners usually leave their personal belongings for guests to use but would expect clients to respect locked cupboards containing owner's private possessions.
Access to properties will vary enormously. Please ask us for advice regarding this matter when either hiring a car or if you are planning to use your own.
It cannot be guaranteed that all properties will have mobile phone reception. We can advise you of this on request.
Swimming pools are filled with fresh water & are unheated unless stated to the contrary in the property description.
The local wildlife is an essential ingredient of Spanish rural life, a cockerel crowing or the barking of dogs is not a complaint that locals will sympathise with! A house in the country will inevitably attract all forms of wildlife from insects to goats!

Christmas & New Year
Christmas & New year in a holiday location can be wonderful, often with blue skies & sunshine. Many of our properties have heating or log fires and within a couple of hours you can be enjoying the delights of a winter holiday.

Activities & Excursions
If requested we can ask the local managers to provide guests with a number of local activities, ie water sports, sailing, horse riding, mountain biking & skiing. More information & costs can be provided on request.

Directions from Malaga Airport to Almuñecar. (Costa Tropical villas only) Directions from Almeria and Granada can also be provided upon request.

On leaving the car park, follow the signs for Malaga ( N340 ). You carry straight on at the roundabout, keeping in the left hand lane as you follow the road over the flyover. The road goes to the right as you join the motorway. On the motorway you must immediately move into the left hand lanes otherwise you will be drawn into the centre of Malaga. You will now see a large blue motorway sign saying Motril & Almeria. Do not get off here as the sign is misleading, and you will take the slip road into the city. Once you have passed the sign, move into the right hand lane & you will see a further blue motorway sign for Motril & Almeria. Take this slip road where you will now join the motorway A7 E15 going east to Motril / Almeria. You will stay on this road until you reach the exit for La Herradura. Take the slip road to the N 340. Keep on this scenic costal road ( N340 ), passing La Herradura & Marina del Este, through the tunnel, Punta Del A Mona & finally you will reach Almuñecar.

If you are passing Almunecar, you can stay on the motorway until it ends at Taramay, the eastern side of Almunecar.
